Memorize – Meditate – Implement

We are to memorize the Word of God.
“Your word I have hid in my heart that I might not sin against You.”
Psalm 119:11

We are to meditate on the Word of God.
“His delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law does he meditate day and night.”
Psalm 1:2

So that we may be able to obey and do the Word of God.
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Matt 7.24
“God will bless you in everything you do, if you listen and obey, and don’t just hear and forget.”
James 1:25

History of Singing Scripture

Jewish believers, from ancient times until today, have intonated “the hymn book of the Bible”, the Psalms. They have also harnessed the power of singing scripture by extending said singing to the entire Torah. Jewish children continue chanting and memorizing the Torah in synagogues worldwide to the present day. Cantillation is the ritual chanting of “readings” from the Hebrew Bible in synagogue services. These readings are notated in accordance with special signs or marks, called te’amim, that are printed in the text along with the letters and vowel points.

Word for Word Ministries now introduces a comprehensive audio Bible scripture memorization program (largely overlooked or neglected in Christianity) that has been proven not only in Judaism but by millions of adherents of other religions over thousands of years.*

Now is the time to fully implement this in the Church. Now you, and all believers in the global Church can experience “the best of the old and the new” combining ancient wisdom with modern technology.

Our children will be able to sing and quote thousands of verses of scripture in context with our singalong audio Bible. You will be able to meditate on God’s Word day and night and you will enjoy effortlessly memorizing scripture. Most importantly, what you memorize you will remember all your life!

God’s Word will be in your heart to sing in praise, share the good news, or provide a word of encouragement. The Word will come to mind as a lamp to your feet and a light to your path when you need wisdom. God’s Word will be available to you anywhere at any time for contemplation, intercession, direction and delight – helping you grow in love and faith as you become a “living epistle” of Christ.

What better way to begin learning the scriptures than by singing God’s holy Word back to him. We are asked to meditate daily on scripture, to hide his Word in our hearts, and to speak or sing the Word over our lives so that we can live righteously. The Word, by the power of the Holy Spirit, provides everything we need that “pertains to life and godliness” to become over-comers in this world. God said his Word would never pass away and would never return void.

All the Word to All the World – in Song – to the Glory of God

*The Torah, the Vedas, and the Koran. The Vedas, for example, are three times the length of the entire Bible and were memorized (syllable by syllable) through chanting for one thousand years before ever being written down. The Koran, about the same length as the New Testament, has been memorized by millions of Muslims. In Christian history, monks memorized all the psalms. and some Christian traditions have liturgically chanted specific sections of the New Testament from the first century until now. What is unique about The Bible Song is the intentional singing and memorization of the entire New Testament and eventually the entire Bible.
